Our Mission

To glorify God by making disciples

Our Core Convictions

As we pursue our church’s mission, our Core Convictions are the unchanging truths that are the foundation for how we approach church.  They are the deeply held beliefs that get us fired up and cause us to dream about what God will do through our church.

  • Every day is ‘show and tell’ in the church. As a community of praise and hope and gratitude and holiness, the church shows the world a glimpse of Jesus’ kingdom in our community life together. At the same time, through its preaching and teaching and ministries of peacemaking, the church also tells the world the good news of Jesus’ kingship.

  • This is the essence of the good news that we proclaim. Jesus is God’s chosen king, and all people everywhere should follow him. In everything we do, we want to bring Jesus the glory that he deserves.

  • Like workers going out into a field and bringing in a harvest of grain, Jesus calls us to go out into the world and bring people into God’s family. We want to be outward facing, and we strive to be people who will go anywhere and do anything to lead people to Jesus.

  • In a world divided along class and ethnic and political lines, church ought to be a place where the normal divisions of society are strangely absent. We see each other as brothers and sisters in God’s family, regardless of our different backgrounds. At Harvest, we want to be there for each other through thick and thin, and we want to care for each other like family.
